It’s October, which means America is going pink. That’s because October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease, and bring women of all ages knowledge about plans to detect the disease in its early stages while encouraging others to do the same.
Throughout the country, Pinktober is taking over, with everyone from mothers and daughters walking for awareness to professional athletes displaying the color of Breast Cancer Awareness. Here are some great ideas for shoes that’ll help you spread the word—and look plenty cute, too!
Nike Flex Run 2015
Pinktober is all about women’s health, so there’s no better way to display your pink pride than with a pair of Nike running shoes that combine form and function to allow you to work out and look good doing it. The Nike Flex Run 2015 in Grey and Pink gives you a pop of bright color as you speed down the track, the road, the sidewalk, or the path.
Chuck Taylor All Star Low
If you want to keep it casual and still show off a little bit of style, why not go with a classic? The pink Chuck Taylor All Star low top sneaker goes with just about anything—a pink T-shirt and jeans, a flowing dress, and everything in between. Chucks are perfect for making a statement of laid back cool—lace ‘em up and put ‘em on!
Skechers GOwalk 2 Frontrunner
This slip-on sneaker makes staying fit comfortable and convenient, and its bright pink textile upper makes sure you’ll be seen when you hit the road. Skechers GOwalk walking shoes feature GOga Mat Technology in the footbed to keep you walking on air even as you push the pace. Perfect for Pinktober, the Frontrunner will keep you ahead of the pack.
Adidas Vigor 6 TR
Take the power of pink to the trail in this adidas runner. The Vigor 6 TR trail running shoe features a high-performance rubber traction outsole that grips the terrain and lets you power through tough conditions, and the full-length EVA midsole gives you the cushioned comfort you need to keep going. The bold black and pink look is quite the bonus.
