Our Own Steve Shultz’ March of Dimes Story

Famous Footwear’s own District Store Manager, Steve Schultz, shares his personal story about his prematurely born son and passion for March of Dimes.

“In 1988, my son was born early at about 4lbs. He spent quite a bit of time in the NICU and is thankfully strong and healthy today. Since then I have been involved with March of Dimes, participating in my 1st team back in the early 90’s raising over $2500. As you can imagine, I was ecstatic when Famous Footwear became a National Sponsor of the March of Dimes and I could combine work and charity together!

I am now proud to say that I’ve been involved in many aspects of March of Dimes; the walks, dinners, auctions, advocacy efforts, and even  hanging banners from the family silo on our farm. I guess you can see I have a passion and a commitment for March of Dimes! No matter whether you give time or money, what matters is that you do give to this wonderful cause and help babies get their proper start in life. I invite everyone to join me in celebrating this 75th Anniversary of the March of Dimes!”
