The transition from winter to spring is one of the best times of year. Clouds and gray skies give way to warmer weather and beautiful flowers. Animals wake from their winter naps, and families trade heavy jackets and sweaters for cardigans and windbreakers. It’s a great time to punch up the color and welcome spring with open arms.
With school and work schedules fighting for my attention, comfort and ease are still the top priorities in my house when it comes to footwear. Slip-on shoes are essential for young children who still need help, but as a busy mom, I also appreciate the ease of throwing on my shoes hands-free and moving on.
Here are three great looks to get you out of the house and on with your day this spring.
My everyday look is jeans and a T-shirt with a cardigan and simple jewelry. I would pair these slip-ons from Converse with my daily uniform or even a simple dress with a flowy, A-line skirt and messenger bag. For spring, I like them in white canvas, but they come in several colors, including neon pink! You really can’t go wrong with a pair of Chucks.
On days when I need to take my style to the next level, I love brightly-colored or patterned flats. Having a fun pop of color on my feet always brings a smile to my face, and it’s a great way to spice up a simple outfit for a day at the office. I love these green flats because they are cheery without being too loud. Pair these with skinny jeans and a floral top for a date night, or wear them to work with a chambray shirt-dress and a statement necklace.
Slip-on shoes don’t always have to be flat. There are some amazing options for wedges and heels that will bring you right into spring, so get a pedicure and have fun!

However you wear them, slip-ons are essential for spring and will help you transition some of your winter pieces into warmer weather.
