Last week we were excited to once again join in on Fashion’s Night Out in New York City with a BIG event at our newly remodeled Manhattan Famous Footwear store on 34th Street!
September 6th marked the 4th anniversary of Fashion’s Night Out in NYC. The celebration and biggest shopping event of the year kicks off New York’s Fashion Week. It began in 2009 as a way to celebrate fashion and provide a boost in awareness for the fashion industry. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of this fabulous fashion mayhem!
This year, our custom double-decker bus gave free rides to the store from stops in SOHO and the Flatiron District all evening. Energy was high and guests’ feet were spared from all of that walking—now that’s something to celebrate!
Riders on the bus also had an exclusive opportunity at a chance to win “Free Shoes For A Year.” As you can imagine, the thought of all those shoes had everyone rushing into Famous Footwear to drop off their ballots – and of course – to go shopping!
Outside of our 34th Street store, guests struck a pose on the red carpet and kicked off the festivities by getting their photos taken by a professional photographer. Once inside the store, our guests were treated like fashion royalty with free shoe giveaways EVERY HOUR, complimentary Baked by Melissa cupcakes, mini bottles of water to re-energize and some helpful advice on what to buy from our shoe experts!
Quite possibly one of our favorite parts of the evening was getting to see everyone’s awesome outfits. Check out the amazing street looks that these stylish shoppers were wearing!
Our guest DJ rocked it out in front of the store and inspired an impromptu dance party on 34th Street by the end of the night!
